Setup Steps

Complete setup guide for full-service restaurants

1

Download Apps

2

Create an Account

Open MxiBoss and tap "Open a Store in One Second". Vietnam is selected by default. Enter the store name, select "Pay After Dining" (recommended for restaurants), enter your email address and referral code (contact us to get one), enter the email verification code, and submit to activate your store.

3

Create Table QR Codes

You can organise tables by floor, dining area, or private room, then create table QR codes. Table area names can also combine languages, such as 一楼Tầng một and 二楼lầu hai. Name each QR code after its table (e.g. Table-01, Table-02, 1-01, A1), or generate them in bulk.

4

Create Products

Upload dish images and set names, selling prices, and member prices. Assign dishes to product groups; if needed, create groups such as Bestsellers, Specials, Staple Dishes, Stir-Fries, and Drinks. Tip: Dish names, group names, attribute names, and options (including preparation methods) can each include multiple languages, as in the group name Bán chạy-HOT-热卖.

Build combos with required and optional items. Configure attributes to suit each dish, such as the thickness or shape of hand-pulled noodles (extra-thin, thin, medium, slightly thick, flat, or wide), preparation (steamed, braised, stewed, covered and simmered, dry-fried, stir-fried, or grilled), doneness (well-done, medium-well, or medium), spice level (no spice, mild, medium, extra hot, or extremely hot), and portion size (large, medium, or small). Other examples include adding or omitting scallions, ginger, garlic, or cilantro; using less salt, sugar, oil, or sauce; adding vinegar; or leaving out MSG. Any attribute can be set to allow multiple selections. Options can share a price or have different prices, and you can choose a default for each group.

5

Add a Receipt Printer

In the top-right corner of MxiPOS, open Settings > Peripherals > Printers > Receipt Printer, then choose a connection method.

USB

On MxiPOS for Windows, install the driver from the printer manufacturer before connecting via USB.

Network (LAN/WIFI)

First configure the printer IP using the manufacturer's app or tool, then enter that IP in MxiPOS.

Run a test print; paper should feed normally. You can also configure and adjust print templates for order tickets, checkout receipts, pre-bills, and more.

In Ticket Settings > Receipt Settings, you can enable image printing and set the paper width (for example, 80 mm).

Optional Setup

Choose these based on how your restaurant operates. They are not included in the core step count.

Optional

Configure Kitchen Printers

After configuring the printer IP, add an Ethernet or cloud kitchen printer in MxiBoss. Set up zone printing by dish, product group, or station, and configure print templates for orders, dish returns, dish transfers, table changes, and more.

Optional

Delivery Authorization

First, in MxiPOS, go to Settings > Business > Store Order Acceptance and enable Grab Auto Accept. Open a merchant account on the relevant delivery platform, then authorize GrabFood from the Delivery Interface at sp.mxipos.com. The platform also supports managing your own delivery service.

Optional

Set Up MxiPAD Order Taking

Bind devices to the POS SN, choose staff-assisted or customer self-ordering mode, and bind tablets to tables when needed.

Optional

Complete Store Info

Add your store address, enable QR ordering or delivery as needed, and confirm your business model.

Optional

Create Staff Accounts

Create accounts and assign roles for cashiers, service staff, and managers when separate access and tracking are needed.

Optional

Set Up KDS (Kitchen Display System)

Connect KDS to the same network as the POS and choose an order-based or item-based kitchen view.

Optional

Membership & Marketing

Log in to sp.mxipos.com to create members or import existing ones in bulk. Use Membership Marketing and Marketing Tools for coupons, balance top-ups, points, one-tap coupon claims, recurring offers, limited-time deals, gifts with purchase, multi-use passes, and prize draws.

Optional

Supply Chain Management

In Supply Chain at sp.mxipos.com, manage purchasing, sales, and inventory, including stock counts and loss write-offs. Set up recipe BOMs with cost cards, preparation cost cards, and semi-finished product BOMs to calculate product and ingredient costs.
